How we handle the information you give us, and what we do with research data.

When you download a report or subscribe to the newsletter, we collect the name, work email address and company you enter into the form. Nothing else is required.
We collect standard server and analytics data when you visit: pages viewed, referring source, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type.
Research participants in our surveys and panels provide responses under the terms shown at the point of collection. Survey responses are held separately from marketing contacts.
To send you the report you asked for, and occasional research updates. Every email carries an unsubscribe link that works.
To understand which research is useful, so we commission more of what readers actually read.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share your contact details with third parties for their own marketing.
Findings we publish are reported in aggregate. We do not identify individual survey respondents in reports, charts or media commentary.
Where a report is produced with a partner, the partnership is named on the report and on its page on this site.
For readers in jurisdictions with data protection statutes, our basis for processing marketing contacts is consent, given when you submit a form, and legitimate interest for site analytics.
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address below and we will respond within 30 days.
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies to our processing of personal data of individuals in India. You may raise a grievance with us first, and escalate to the Data Protection Board if it is not resolved.
Marketing contacts are held until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. Survey response data is held for the life of the research programme it belongs to, then aggregated or deleted.
The site uses cookies for basic analytics only. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell audience data. Your browser settings can block cookies without breaking the site.
